Professor Jegan Krishnan (MBBS, FRACS (Orth), Ph.D.) is an Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Adelaide, South Australia who currently consults and operates at various locations across the state.

With an eye for detail, a focus on patient care and a wealth of experience, Professor Krishnan has built a global reputation as a consummate professional who is devoted to his patients and his craft.

Jegan is committed to helping not only patients locally but also offering his services to the less fortunate. He has spent stints in Zimbabwe, Fiji, Rwanda and various parts of India and China focussed on teaching local practitioners how to improve their craft. Jegan is also involved in providing healthcare in the Third World and establishing a program linked to the University of Malawi for medical education and training.

Research

Along with years of hands on experience, Professor Jeganath (Jegan) Krishnan (MBBS, FRACS (Orth), Ph.D.) brings to each appointment a level of knowledge very few in his field can boast. Professor Krishnan has a particular surgical interest in shoulder and hand surgery and has presented at many international forums on topics related to these fields. He also has a keen interest in the design of a prototype metacarpophalangeal finger joint for the rheumatoid hand. He attained a PhD in this topic at Flinders University.
